Description: This is maintenance and personal services work involving minor supervisory duties in the custodial care of buildings and grounds of a mental health hospital. Work includes cleaning residential and ground areas including bedrooms, dayrooms, dining areas, bathrooms, corridors, and program areas. Additional responsibilities include shoveling, moving furniture, Worl requires considerable physical effort and exposure to abnormal human behavior. Work is performed under general supervision.

REPRESENTATIVE TASKS : (A position may not be assigned all the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all the duties that may be assigned).

Leads a small number of other employees and participates in the routine cleaning of buildings and the care of surrounding grounds in order to maintain building cleanliness.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to: function as a lead worker in a structured work environment; follow instructions; operate manual and automatic custodial equipment; adhere to safety rules; adapt quickly to diverse work assignments; work harmoniously in a team environment; lift 40 lbs. unassisted; and follow a work schedule.
