Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Responsibilities
- Responsible for foreman supervision duties for hourly maintenance millwrights, electronics repair technicians, and Construction Specialists across the entire facility, including working with union contract requirements.
- Provides safety leadership and support.
- Manages job assignments, sets priorities, establishes performance expectations, and addresses employee performance issues to ensure equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and breakdowns are handled effectively, maintaining or improving equipment uptime.
- Approves time and attendance for Maintenance employees.
- Communicates with production foreman and welding technicians to set repair priorities.
- Offers technical expertise and guidance on equipment repairs and spare parts.
- Works the 3rd shift (Monday–Friday, 11:00 pm–7:30 am); must be flexible to transition between shifts and available for scheduled overtime, including some weekends.
- Must be available for scheduled overtime, including some weekends.
- Mechanical or electronics maintenance experience required.
- Experience in a supervisory capacity, preferably in a union environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to direct and interact with subordinates, peers, and superiors.
- Associate’s degree or comparable advanced education a plus; equivalent experience with machine tools, welding equipment, and manufacturing equipment may be accepted.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP desired.
Base salary range: $66,000 – $101,000 per year, depending on local market conditions and individual qualifications.
Additional compensation may include an annual cash incentive and a full range of medical, retirement, and other benefits. Benefit details will be provided upon offer.
