Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Welder / MIG/MAG/TIG
Join a legacy of American craftsmanship. Since 1969, our Bardstown facility has manufactured secure modular buildings for elite military, government, and commercial clients. We are seeking a versatile welder to maintain and repair our specialized fleet of compactors, containers, and carts. This role is critical to our mission‑specific solutions, requiring a blend of technical welding expertise and mechanical troubleshooting to ensure our high‑security products meet rigorous field standards.
Shift: Weekend shift – Friday, Saturday, Sunday 5:30 am–5 pm. Possible OT on Thursdays or Mondays.
Responsibilities- Perform precision welding using MIG, TIG, Arc, and Stick techniques to manufacture and reinforce components for secure modular buildings.
- Diagnose, service, and repair a diverse fleet of compactors, containers, and carts to ensure operational readiness.
- Identify and resolve mechanical or structural issues in special‑purpose equipment, ensuring all repairs meet high‑security standards.
- Strictly adhere to and implement safety procedures while operating heavy machinery and high‑heat tools to maintain a zero‑incident environment.
- Utilize fleet maintenance software to accurately log service history, track parts inventory, and document completed repairs.
- Select and operate the specific tools and equipment required for the servicing and refurbishment of industrial units.
- Inspect finished welds and repairs to ensure they meet the rigorous, field‑tested standards required for military and government clients.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, Arc, and Stick welding techniques.
- Ability to perform repairs on a variety of compactors, containers, and carts.
- Skill in operating the specific tools, equipment, and parts used during repair and servicing of specialized fleet units.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safety procedures and practices necessary while operating or repairing industrial equipment.
- Skill in repair and maintenance of special‑purpose equipment.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and a high school diploma (or equivalent).
- Valid driver’s license.
