Custodian - 2nd Shift

Barre Unified Union School District – Barre Town Middle and Elementary School – Barre, Vermont

Starting Date: Immediately

The BUUSD is seeking a 2nd shift custodian. Second shift is 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm during the school year and 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (first shift) during summer.

Candidates must:

• Be able to perform physical labor and activities, including lifting, unassisted, bending, standing, climbing, and walking.
• Work effectively and respectfully with the public.
• Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
• Maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population.
• Pass a background and fingerprint check.
• Background in commercial cleaning preferred.

The rate of pay for this position is $20.99 per hour, plus a $0.50 per hour shift differential when working the second shift.
