Our Assistant Restaurant Manager are passionate and supportive leaders who helps cultivate a culture rooted in the genuine enjoyment of food, wine, and hospitality. Working closely with the management team, they play an integral role in the day-to-day success of the restaurant — from recruiting and developing team members to overseeing payroll, invoicing, ordering, inventory management, scheduling, and overall productivity. They also help ensure a safe and positive workplace by supporting Health and Safety initiatives and fostering an environment where the team feels valued, engaged, and set up for success.
The day to day:
Actively lead daily restaurant operations with a strong floor presence during serviceInspire and motivate your team by clearly communicating the restaurant’s vision and upholding Oliver & Bonacini’s valuesMonitor and uphold all points of service and attention to detail in both guest experience and back-of-house operationsSupport and develop staff through training, coaching, and performance management initiativesCultivate a warm, professional, guest-first cultureBuild strong relationships with guests, team members, vendors, and senior leadershipOversee scheduling, payroll accuracy, budgeting, inventory, and invoicing with precisionEnsure the venue is spotless, well-maintained, and operating at the highest standardSupport marketing efforts and contribute to guest outreach and promotional strategiesActively participate in health & safety initiatives, ensuring full compliance with WHMIS and company policiesContribute to the planning and execution of private events and special functionsOther duties as requiredQualifications
Minimum of 1 year of direct restaurant management experience in a high-volume environmentValid Smart Serve Certification RequiredExceptional verbal and written communication skills with a confident, professional presenceHighly organized with the strong ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, detail-driven environmentProven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a calm, solutions-oriented approachStrong business sense combined with hands-on experience in restaurant operations, cost control, and guest service excellenceAbility to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as requiredMust be legally eligible to work in Canada.
