Position Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor leads and directs the plant maintenance department, overseeing all maintenance operations for the facility, grounds, and equipment with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making. This role is responsible for planning and initiating preventative maintenance, scheduling corrective actions, and prioritizing repairs using data analytics to identify trends and optimize performance. The individual will develop, implement, and continuously improve preventative and predictive maintenance programs, integrating key performance indicators and maintenance metrics to drive efficiency and reliability.

The supervisor will also manage staff training programs focused on leveraging maintenance data, prioritize scheduling and parts inventory based on data insights, and provide informed input on capital improvement projects. The successful candidate will utilize data to proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and enhanced safety throughout all maintenance activities.

Position Responsibilities:

· Schedule and coordinate all shutdown and repair activities for the facility, collaborating with other operations management and using maintenance data to prioritize and optimize activities.
· Control repair parts inventory by utilizing data analytics to forecast needs, optimize cash flow, and ensure critical parts are always available.
· Establish and maintain the plant repair budget through data-driven analysis of historical spending, anticipated needs, and performance metrics.
· Effectively manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs by collecting and analyzing equipment data to enhance reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
· Continuously seek opportunities to improve current processes by leveraging data to identify trends, minimize maintenance costs, and enhance safety performance.
· Prepare estimates and complete appropriation requests for capital funds, supporting recommendations with relevant maintenance and operational data.
· Develop, manage, and complete capital projects, using data to track progress, measure outcomes, and ensure resource optimization.
· Coordinate and direct the activities of all outside contractors, ensuring timely and cost-effective project completion through data monitoring and reporting.
· Lead process reliability efforts by applying data analytics to achieve quality goals, ensuring the lowest cost, best quality, and high return on assets.
· Allocate department resources and manage personnel based on real-time operational data to best meet the needs of Manufacturing operations, demonstrating flexibility to minimize downtime.
· Drive machine reliability by enforcing disciplined application of the work order system and preventative maintenance, using collected data to monitor and improve system effectiveness.
· Demonstrate continuous improvement in safety, housekeeping, waste reduction, quality, productivity, customer satisfaction, and cost, all guided by analysis of relevant performance metrics.
· Ensure facility compliance with all applicable environmental regulations and permitting requirements, using data tracking and reporting to maintain adherence.
· Maintain a strong understanding of the key drivers of maintenance cost—such as labor, parts, and asset utilization—and leverage data analytics to control and reduce these costs.
· Develop, track, and report on key maintenance performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational effectiveness, reliability, and cost control.
