Educator
Right At School provides local school districts before and after school extended day programs with a focus on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students!
Position Details- Location: Candidates should be open to working at any of the schools we partner with in the Elgin U‑46 School District, which has schools located in Elgin, South Elgin, Bartlett, Streamwood, Hanover Park, Wayne, Hoffman Estates and Carol Stream.
- Pay Rate: $15‑18 per hour (based on education and experience).
- Program
Hours:
Monday through Friday: 1:45 PM–6:00 PM. - Shift Availability: Candidates must be available to work all five days for one or both shifts. Partial shifts are not accommodated.
- Start Date: Immediate.
- At least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience working with children aged 5‑13 in a formal group childcare setting (preferred).
- Conducting daily program meetings to review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and foster team accountability.
- Organizing and facilitating daily activities and curriculum that align with program objectives and are both educational and enjoyable.
- Modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
- Prioritizing safety and joy, monitoring the environment, addressing hazards, and following all safety protocols. This includes documenting attendance, incidents, and observations.
- Communicating effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
- Outstanding customer service and relationship‑building skills.
- Team‑player mindset.
- Ability to lift 25 lb.
- Drive to inspire a love of learning and commitment to healthy living.
- Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
- Meet state‑specific requirements.
- First Aid and CPR in‑person certification.
- Cleared tuberculosis test.
- Proof of High School diploma or GED.
