Description:

The Bartlett Public Library District is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Adult Services Librarian. The Adult Services Librarian is responsible for reference and readers’ advisory, collection development, programming, and outreach to patrons and the community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in the collection development process by maintaining budget, selecting, and weeding materials in assigned area.
• Provide reference and readers’ advisory assistance and process interlibrary loan requests
• Provide instruction on the Library’s digital offerings and e-sources to patrons and staff
• Plan and implement adult programs of interest to the community
• Create attractive and interesting displays and bibliographies
• Stay current regarding library technology and trends
• Develop and take part in outreach activities
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• MLS/MLIS from an ALA accredited institution
• At least one (1) year of experience in a public library setting
