Job Description Position

The Director, Human Resources, will see HR as a platform to build and contribute to a growing organization. This modern leader will showcase the value of HR while building a stronger and more capable organization—an organization that’s prepared for what comes next.

As a trusted advisor who will help to translate business strategy into human capability, this Director will report to the VP/General Manager of a complex, multi‑location manufacturing organization, and will shape the workforce of the future by aligning talent, leadership, and culture with the company’s evolving ambitions. This Director will build and execute programs and processes to achieve these goals.

This role calls for a forward‑thinking HR professional who blends deep business insight with a modern understanding of workforce analytics, organizational design, and the responsible application of AI‑enabled tools. The Director will inspire leaders and employees, using data‑driven insights and human‑centered practices to strengthen engagement, enable smarter decision‑making, and build an environment where purpose and performance are recognized.

As a visible hands‑on leader, the Director will guide talent strategy, leadership development, culture and engagement, and labor relations as critical levers that shape how the organization grows, adapts, and succeeds. This is an opportunity for a modern influential HR leader to help architect and enhance a workplace where people thrive, leaders are equipped to lead through complexity, and the workforce is positioned as a strategic advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate business strategy into workforce capability by partnering with leaders to strengthen organizational effectiveness, using data and insights to guide decisions, and ensuring the people strategy actively fuels performance and growth.
  • Shape how leaders lead, by coaching and equipping them to build high‑performing, engaged teams, developing talent intentionally, and creating an environment where trust and accountability coexist.
  • Evolve the employee experience across facilities by fostering a culture where engagement, safety, collaboration, and pride in the work reinforce one another and support long‑term retention and success.
Qualifications Professional Experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in business or related, with 6+ years of experience in progressively responsible HR leadership positions ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • History of building and executing modern HR strategies and processes that enhance both business and employee experiences.
  • Highly collaborative. Skilled at strategy, implementation and project management in partnership with the leadership team.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging modern technology, data, and emerging AI capabilities to advance organizational performance and decision‑making.
  • Ability to translate analytics into actionable insights, modernize processes through digital tools, and introduce responsible AI or automation solutions that improve efficiency, workforce effectiveness, and business outcomes.
  • Experience partnering with leaders to embed data‑informed thinking into strategy, operations, and talent decisions.
  • Experience influencing and communicating change with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with exempt, non‑exempt and unionized employee populations with a proven ability to build differentiated programs for different employee populations, maintaining equity and compliance.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Personal Characteristics
  • A forward‑thinker who sees beyond the immediate moment to align strategy, people, and purpose to shape what the organization could become. Has the ability to guide others to move forward with clarity and conviction.
  • Challenges assumptions with curiosity and courage, listening deeply before acting, and transforming insight into momentum that makes work better, faster, and more meaningful for everyone.
  • Builds influence through substance and partnership by translating complexity into direction, turning ideas into outcomes, and earning the confidence of leaders and teams by consistently delivering progress that matters.
