Job Description

Summary – Performs various simple fabrication, process, and assembly operations in production of low and high temperature insulation forms, blankets, and related products.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to perform high temperature thermal insulation fabrication.
  • Assembly operation in cutting metal foil and fiberglass insulation to size.
  • Hand forming such skins, making cut-outs, or punching holes, assembling of matched foil skins and insulation layer.
  • Hooking and folding edges, fabricating stiffeners, and identification tags.
  • Cutting patches.
  • Tack welding seams, and spot welding of skins, stiffeners and patches.
  • Follow all Senior policies and procedure.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or

Experience:


High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Language:
    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Reasoning Ability:
    Ability to apply a general understanding to carry out detailed, written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Mathematical Ability:
    Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Other Abilities:
    Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
Tools Used
  • Light hand tools such as scissors, knives, snips, hand crimpers, rollers, mallets, ball peens, pinching pliers, paint brushes, screwdrivers, rulers, scales, templates, and patterns.
Equipment Used
  • Motors, ovens, freezers, forming molds, vacuum pumps and any other equipment as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Materials Used
  • Rubber fiberglass stock, fiberglass stock, rubber-based paints, catalysts, solvents, adhesives, abrasives, plastic tape, and fiberglass insulation.
Additional Information

Annual Target Salary = $43,680.00

Monday - Friday 1st Shift 5:00am - 3:30pm
