Production Manager
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations at our plant. The Production Manager will ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production by managing schedules, resources, and cross-functional teams. The role focuses on meeting production targets, optimizing processes, minimizing waste, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and supervise production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
- Manage and develop production staff, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and shift coordination.
- Oversee plant operations to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar) to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
- Monitor production metrics and KPIs, prepare reports, and communicate performance to senior management.
- Collaborate with supply chain, quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve production issues and support new product introductions.
- Control production budgets, labor allocation, and material usage to meet financial objectives.
- Enforce and promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence across the plant.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of progressive manufacturing or production experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Demonstrated experience in plant operations, production planning, and process optimization.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and safety regulations.
- Proven track record with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) and project management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency with production planning tools, ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing production demands.
