Bartlett Regional Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse Specialist 2 to join our Surgical Services team in Same Day Surgery for Pre-Admission Testing!
Internal Hires: Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on applicable Rules or Union Contract Terms.External Hires: This position starts at $48.60 per hour.Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience
Please note:In lieu of fringe benefits, Casual employees will receive a $2.00 per hour differential.
Job Summary:
The Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) Nurse plays a critical role in preparing surgical patients for safe and successful surgical outcomes. This position performs comprehensive nursing assessments, reviews medical histories, evaluates preoperative testing and labs, and provides individualized patient education. The PAT RN collaborates closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, primary care providers, and other departments to identify and address potential surgical risks or complications prior to the day of surgery.
Minimum Qualifications for the Job
:Experience: Four years’ nursing experience in an in- or out-patient surgical setting.Preferred Experience: Previous PAT experience preferred.License:Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license.Preferred Certification(s): CAPA Certification and/or CPAN Certification, ACLS or PALS
