Overview
General duties for store leadership at Lids Sports Group, including driving sales, providing customer service, maintaining visual standards, and upholding company policies.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities- Produce sales gains by providing customer service and meeting or exceeding Company Objectives in all applicable statistics.
- Provide consistent, documented appraisal of an associate’s sales performance and give feedback on strengths and opportunities aligned with Company Objectives.
- Adhere to current visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Dress Code Policy.
- Protect company assets within LIDS Retail policies.
- Assist in preparing store schedules that provide proper store coverage and comply with wage control guidelines.
- Follow policies to manage store inventory, including receiving, transferring, price changes, and product counts.
- Maintain proper documentation and record keeping per LIDS Retail policies as well as state and federal laws.
- Open and close the store as required according to Operations procedures.
- Support and adhere to all LIDS policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Participate in LIDS Training Programs, adhere to goals for sales and tasks, and engage in regular follow-up.
- Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on proper store operations and procedures.
- Encourage direct compliance with established company policies and guidelines, including safekeeping of inventory, funds, and property.
- Perform work of subordinates as needed and communicate with employees at all levels of the company.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of related experience.
- Established ability to achieve sales results while minimizing loss.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer operations and relevant software programs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb a ladder and work with hands overhead.
- Standing for up to 100% of the work time.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
