Responsibilities- Perform duties to troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain a wide variety of complex mechanical, electrical, building, and facilities systems.
- Work detail assigned via CMMS work order system and/or direction from supervision. Work from maintenance manuals, prints, work orders, wiring diagrams, schematics, codes, manuals and instructions.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide variety of equipment such as heating, cooling, stamping, bending, forming, welding equipment and electrical systems.
- Install or assist in installation or relocation of equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance work on 277‑V and/or 480‑V electrical systems.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities, check equipment function and operation, and recommend required maintenance action.
- Assist in training departmental employees.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC systems using handheld programmers, laptops, or other diagnostic devices.
- Successful completion of a pre‑employment written test is required as part of the selection process.
- 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic, or similar role in a manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, pumps, motors, valves, and power transmission equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain production equipment and facility systems with minimal supervision.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, adjustments, alignments, and mechanical rebuilds.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, including troubleshooting of motors, sensors, controls, and related equipment.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, grease gun, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of safety practices, lockout/tagout procedures, OSHA requirements, and safe work practices in an industrial environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize maintenance needs, and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or off‑shift hours as needed to support production and maintenance requirements.
- Must be able to lift, climb, bend, stand for extended periods, and work in industrial conditions as required.
This position is part of the bargaining unit and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Base hourly pay: $34.89/hr; second‑shift premium as applicable: $1.00/hr
