Skills & Experience:

3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic, or similar role in a manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, pumps, motors, valves, and power transmission equipment. Ability to troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain production equipment and facility systems with minimal supervision. Experience performing preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, adjustments, alignments, and mechanical rebuilds.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, technical drawings, and work orders. Working knowledge of electrical systems, including troubleshooting of motors, sensors, controls, and related equipment. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, grease gun, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively. Strong understanding of safety practices, lockout/tagout procedures, OSHA requirements, and safe work practices in an industrial environment.

Job Description:

Insight Global is in search of a Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician in Bartlett, IL to work on 2nd shift (3:30pm-1:30am). This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining a broad range of complex mechanical, electrical, building, and facility systems within a manufacturing environment. Daily responsibilities include working from CMMS-generated work orders, wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and maintenance manuals to diagnose and repair equipment issues, perform root cause analysis, and minimize downtime.

The Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician will maintain and repair production equipment including heating, cooling, stamping, bending, forming, and welding machinery, as well as troubleshoot and service 277V and 480V electrical systems. Additional duties include performing preventive maintenance, assisting with equipment installations and relocations, diagnosing PLC-controlled systems using handheld programmers and diagnostic software, and utilizing a variety of tools and equipment including pneumatic tools, forklifts, multimeters, and standard hand tools.
