Location: 100% Remote (Continental United States)

Position Type: In‑house Bright Vision Technologies SOW engagement (no third‑party client or vendor)

Experience: 5+ years
Salary: $100K-150K

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced People Soft Integration Developer to design, build, and operate enterprise integrations connecting People Soft applications to internal systems, cloud applications, and third‑party platforms. This role focuses specifically on the integration layer, including service operations, queues, routings, transformations, security configurations, and error handling. The ideal candidate will combine deep hands‑on Integration Broker experience with broader People Tools knowledge and a strong understanding of API and integration design patterns.

In this role you will work closely with cross‑functional partners — product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders — to translate ambiguous requirements into well‑engineered solutions, and will be expected to raise the bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop integration scenarios using People Soft Integration Broker, including service operations, queues, routings, and handlers.
  • Build synchronous and asynchronous integrations using REST and SOAP web services.
  • Develop transformations using XSLT, Application Engine, and People Code handlers, applying disciplined engineering practices and partnering closely with stakeholders to ensure outcomes are durable, well‑documented, and aligned with broader team and platform standards.
  • Configure security on inbound and outbound services, including WS‑Security, OAuth2, and certificate‑based authentication.
  • Build robust error‑handling and retry mechanisms, including notifications, monitoring, and resubmission workflows.
  • Develop Component Interfaces and File Layouts to support hybrid integration scenarios.
  • Lead migration efforts to retire legacy point‑to‑point integrations to standardized Integration Broker patterns, planning phased cutovers, building backward‑compatibility shims where needed, and ensuring each migration step is reversible and well‑monitored.
  • Optimize performance of high‑volume integrations through queue tuning, parallel processing, and asynchronous design.
  • Integrate People Soft with cloud applications (Oracle Cloud, Workday, Service Now) and middleware (OIC, Mule Soft, Boomi).
  • Maintain comprehensive, current technical documentation — including architecture diagrams, design decisions, configuration references, runbooks, and operational procedures — so that the system remains supportable, auditable, and easy to onboard new engineers over time.
  • Provide hypercare and post‑go‑live support, including incident response and root‑cause analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with functional consultants and integration architects, gathering requirements, aligning on technical approach, and ensuring that delivered solutions meet both functional needs and broader engineering and operational standards.
  • Mentor and coach junior and mid‑level engineers through code review, design review, pair programming, and structured knowledge sharing, helping the broader team grow in technical maturity and confidence over time.
