We're partnering with a growing logistics organization seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to manage international shipments from booking through final delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building customer relationships, and takes ownership of shipments from A-Z.
What You'll Be Doing- Manage international air, ocean, truck, and rail shipments from booking through invoicing
- Coordinate import and export shipments while working closely with customers, carriers, overseas agents, customs brokers, and internal teams
- Track shipments, provide proactive status updates, and resolve service issues and exceptions
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and customs-related paperwork
- Handle quoting, booking, invoicing, claims support, and shipment reporting
- Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company procedures
- Analyze shipment activity and identify opportunities for process improvements
- Deliver exceptional customer service while managing multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
- 4+ years of freight forwarding or international logistics experience
- Experience handling international import and/or export shipments across both air and ocean freight
- Strong understanding of shipping documentation and the shipment lifecycle
- Experience working with carriers, NVOCCs, customs brokers, overseas agents, or shippers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation management systems
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently manage customer accounts and shipments with minimal supervision
- Ocean import/export experience
- Knowledge of Incoterms and customs documentation
- Experience working with overseas agents
- Takes ownership and follows through
