Senior Technician, General Facilities Maintenance

Position Summary

Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians. You will make an impact by diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance duties for all commercial equipment to support Walmart stores. You will develop preventative maintenance schedules, complete assigned PMs within the required timeframe, and conduct training for Store Associates regarding equipment care and cleaning.

• Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
• Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
• Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules, providing required written and electronic information (expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs).
• Conduct training for Store Associates on equipment care and cleaning.

• 5 years’ experience in maintenance.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
• 1 year of experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, or food equipment.
• Understanding of customer service and clear, respectful communication.
• Strong personal accountability and effective time management.
• Ability to adapt to changing demands and use solid judgment to prioritize.

Hourly wage range: $21.00 – $40.00. Additional premiums of $0.35‑$3.00 per hour may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
