These positions responsibilities include the assistance to their assigned supervisor in managing of employees, maintaining environmental standards, as well as property and equipment management, purchasing supplies tools, and equipment, support for conference housing, and general overall care of assigned facilities in support of our customer. Basic computer skills are required as the Lead must communicate via email, use a work order management system, and personnel records.

This position will require On Call emergency duty.

55% This position aides their assigned Supervisor in scheduling work times and assigning cleaning duties, providing orientation and training to new employees.

This position will assist with recording time, attendance records and leave; supply and equipment records; periodically inventories of all cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment; issuing cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.

This position is considered an essential employee. Moreover, as an integral part of support for our students the position is scheduled to provide weekend support as scheduled by management.

15% Assists in conducting daily inspections of all areas of responsibility.

Prepares maintenance requests for assigned facilities and furnishings through the work order system MAXIMO.

Assists in preparing purchase requests for monthly supply orders, receiving, completing, and close purchase orders through the MAXIMO system.

10% Assists in maintaining the inventory and safekeeping of keys used in the security of administrative and residential buildings.

Assist in the security and safety measures for each building through documentation of building inspections.

5% Identifies and performs unspecified Lead duties necessary to maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions in Residential Life.

5% Responsible for leading a staff of +15 custodians, scheduling daily work and assigning areas of responsibility and cleaning duties, in the absence of other Custodian Supervisors.

5% Participate in the supervisory on-call team and weekend supervisor rotations, which provides essential support for our campus on weekends and during on-call hours.

5% Other duties as assigned

One year of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work.

Must be capable of walking around a 10,000 square foot building multiple times daily and be able to ascend and descend the stairs of a 5 story building multiple times daily and stand for extended period of time. Be capable to stoop, kneel, and crouch. Capable of moving furniture that weighs 20 to 40 lbs or more and transport cleaning carts and various equipment to different parts of the building on occasion In accordance with University Policy Statement 18, this position is considered essential and may be required to report or stay on campus in the event of emergency or closure.
