Salary Range: $18.00 To $20.00 Hourly
Position SummaryThe Facility Maintenance Apprentice is an entry-level position that provides hands‑on training in facility and warehouse maintenance. Working alongside experienced maintenance personnel, you will assist with building upkeep, grounds maintenance, basic repairs, equipment support, and special projects while developing skills for a career in facilities maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assist with general maintenance and repairs throughout office, warehouse, and transportation facilities.
- Perform basic tasks such as painting, patching walls, changing light bulbs, minor plumbing repairs, and general upkeep.
- Help maintain warehouse equipment, loading docks, racking systems, and other facility assets.
- Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness of office, warehouse, and outdoor areas, including sweeping, power washing, trash removal, and groundskeeping.
- Assist with snow removal, salting walkways, and storm cleanup as needed.
- Organize and maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Pick up parts and materials and assist with facility projects, event setup, and building improvements.
- Support day‑to‑day warehouse and transportation facility operations as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures, use required PPE, and maintain a safe work environment.
- Be available for occasional after‑hours or emergency maintenance support.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and basic power tools.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work both indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse and weather conditions.
