Janitor-Custodian

The Position

The Janitor, or custodian, must be able to take care of our building and carry out cleaning, and basic maintenance.

• Clean and supply designated building areas (sweeping, mopping, cleaning restroom, organizing and other duties as required)
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Adjust and minor repair, paint areas as required
• Stock and maintain supply room
• Follow all health and safety regulations, Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies

Minimum 3+ years experience working as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic with a demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting. Prior experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment desired. Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities and quickly respond to minimize production delays.

High School Diploma.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal communication. Must be able to understand and follow directions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Basic computer skills preferred.

Must be able to work rotating shifts and be available for overtime and weekend work, evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

The position operates in a professional office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, iPads, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and moving mechanical parts.
