Position Summary
Join our team and perform essential cleaning and janitorial tasks while embodying our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Your role will ensure a clean and safe environment for all.
Responsibilities- Keep building floors spotless through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
- Efficiently gather and dispose of trash.
- Service, clean, and restock restroom supplies.
- Enhance the appearance of furniture and fixtures through cleaning and polishing.
- Ensure windows, glass partitions, and mirrors are clean using appropriate cleaning solutions and tools.
- Dust all surfaces including furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
- Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water and detergents as per specifications.
- Utilize steam cleaning or shampooing techniques on carpets.
- Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors to maintain their quality.
- Adhere to safety procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to avoid damage.
- Assist in moving heavy items safely, utilizing hand trucks when necessary.
- Report the need for major repairs or maintenance to management.
- Clear snow from walkways, driveways, and parking lots using appropriate equipment.
- Request necessary cleaning supplies and equipment for maintenance tasks.
- Maintain all equipment and facilities in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Demonstrated dependability and integrity in previous roles.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations regarding safety and employment.
- Experience in grocery retail and customer service is valued.
- Availability and willingness to work weekends and holidays.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Able to read and comprehend shelf tags, signs, product labels, and training materials.
- Capability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and interact professionally with all levels of the organization.
- Proactive with a commitment to seeing tasks through to completion.
- Must be comfortable using various cleaning solutions and machinery safely.
