Big-D Heavy Industrial is looking for a Warehouse Technician to join our growing team. Summary- Receive and document merchandise for delivery return.
- Identify any overage, shortage or damaged (OS&D) materials during the receiving process and immediately notifying the materials manager.
- Operate equipment during the execution of duties (i.e., 12K reach fork truck, mobile RT cranes, boom trucks, truck with/gooseneck trailer)
- Keep an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse through the use of executed materials requisitions
- Ensure that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping.
- Ensure products are shipped to the right destination.
- Ensure merchandise from the warehousing and laydown areas are collected, safely and without harm, for transport to project areas.
- Responsible to keep assigned rental equipment in peak condition. Servicing all items after each use. This includes cleaning, checking for all safety apparatuses, fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid, grease zerks, coolant, air filter, checking for all required attachments, and proper operation.
- A critical requirement will be to create relationships with multiple jobsite personnel.
- Load/Unload equipment safely into vehicles and on/off trailers.
- Keep workspace organized, clean, and safe.
- Complete daily reports and weekly summaries for supervisor to communicate information, address issues and concerns, and satisfy customer needs.
- Attend business unit meetings as required.
- Use provided computer software to check out/in all rental assets.
- Provide professional and relative feedback for improvement of layout, equipment needs, and increased productivity and efficiency.
- Represents Big-D Construction in a professional manner that promotes the goals and values set forth by the company.
- Requires High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years’ experience with construction equipment, customer service, basic computer skills, and construction services.
- Must have valid driver’s license with excellent driving record.
- Must be able to travel
