Essential Job Functions
Performs unskilled and semi‑skilled manual tasks involved in preparing event facilities for use, including setting up tables, chairs, stages and program equipment such as sound systems and exhibit booths, and removing the same after events; assists clients during events; performs functions during special events; also performs various custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, removal of debris, litter pickup outside facilities;
changes light bulbs; operates a variety of cleaning equipment.
- Maintenance of lawns (cuts grass, edges and trims shrubs)
- Picks up litter and empties trash cans
- Loads and unloads trucks
- Replenishes supplies
- Maintains effective working conditions of necessary tools and equipment
- Operates light duty equipment
- Makes pickups and deliveries
- Performs other duties as required
This position requires 100% on-site work.
KnowledgeKnowledge of materials, methods and practices used in cleaning and custodial work including commercial floor care equipment and chemicals; knowledge of setting tables, chairs, stages and exhibit booths.
Skills and Abilities- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to interact effectively with other employees
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with co‑workers and supervisors
- Ability to operate passenger car and panel truck
- Ability to read
Constantly sees and hears; frequently stands, walks, cleans, drives, stoops, carries, lifts objects weighing up to 50 lbs; infrequently climbs, crawls, kneels, sits, sorts, squats, twists body, writes, drags, pulls, pushes objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Education and ExperienceCompletion of 10 school grades.
Driver License and Background CheckMust possess a valid Class C driver’s license with a good driving record. Other state‑valid driver’s license equivalent to Texas Class C with a good driving record will be considered. Texas state law requires within 30 days of residency that you possess a valid Texas driver’s license. Applicant selected for hire will be subject to a background investigation and drug/alcohol screen test.
