Housekeeper, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Overview

This is a full‑time Housekeeper position at Maryville in Beaverton, Oregon. Work hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with rotating weekends. The role maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with infection control standards for residents, staff, and visitors.

• Clean, sanitize and maintain common areas, residents’ rooms and bathrooms including vacuuming, sweeping, emptying trash cans, dusting, and mopping floors.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or unusual conditions to supervisor.
• Track and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
• Follow infection control protocols, health and safety regulations, and procedures.
• Provide friendly and respectful service to residents, guests, and coworkers.
• Assist with special cleaning projects or events as assigned.

• Ability to pass a criminal background check required of all campus employees.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and infection control standards preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare, long‑term care, or hospitality preferred.
• Must be able to read, understand, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Work in temperature‑controlled office areas and frequently move through the entire facility, including patient rooms and common lobbies.
• Stand or walk for prolonged periods; lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds independently.
• Regular bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling required.
• Capacity to lift 35 pounds frequently, up to 60 pounds occasionally.
