Custodian IV (Head Custodian) – 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM

• Keep the building clean and free of refuse.
• Perform minor repairs and supervise custodial staff to ensure efficient care of the facility, grounds, and equipment.
• Ensure daily operational efficiency of the facility, including heating, cooling, electrical, and plumbing.
• Maintain daily security of the facility, including gymnasium, cafeteria, exterior doors, and windows.
• Prepare periodic facility reports (e.g., roofing, paving, equipment replacement, painting).
• Promote safety and good housekeeping; participate in required training for facility operation.
• Secure the building at the beginning and end of the workday.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal; establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program.
• Attend on-site training and complete required reporting forms for repairs and requisitions.
• Maintain neat appearance and positive work habits; continually upgrade skills.
• Comply with Mingo County Schools and West Virginia Department of Education policies and procedures.

• High school diploma or GED
• Three (3) years of related work experience
• Ability to work from drawings and specifications for an operational facility
• Successful completion of state-required testing
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
• Must satisfactorily pass a WV and FBI background check
