Engineering Technician

** Description*
* SAIC is seeking experienced   
** Engineering Technicians
** to join our growing team at the Bedford Production Facility. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in  
** system integration and assembly work
** and be comfortable working individually or as part of a team.

** Primary Responsibilities*
* + Complete all assigned tasks as required for the project completion, including though not limited to mechanical system assembly, metal fabrication, electrical system installation, painting, etc...

+ Maintaining readiness of equipment and tools to complete all given tasking.

+ As part of the team, participate in efforts to improve processes and procedures for tasks that meet production and integration objectives.

+ Conduct inspections, tests, evaluations, and document results for equipment and processes, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize rework.

+ Duties may include additional logistics work as needed to ensure all items are staged and ready for operational tasks.

Skills and Qualifications *
* + Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical drawings, schematics, and standard operating procedures.

+ Demonstrated skill in fabrication and electromechanical assembly

+ Understand how to select the right tool or process for completing the given tasks and producing the required outcomes.

+ Ability to perform routine work with flexibility for variations in complexity, collaborating with higher-level personnel for guidance when necessary.

+ Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

+ Strong attention to detail, with ability to ensure adherence to quality.

+ Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite tools, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.

+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

** Highly Desired Skills and Experience*
* + Formal training or certifications in welding (e.g., AWS or similar).

+ Active DoD Secret clearance.

* + Associate degree in a related discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED with at least five (5) years of experience in welding and fabrication.
