Cleaning Supervisor

Overview

Mount Charles Group is one of the largest and privately owned soft facilities management, catering and ancillary service providers in Ireland. We are looking for a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at ICC Waterfront Hall, Belfast. This role offers the chance to work with a world‑leading facilities management company.

• 30 hours per week
• Monday – Sunday
• Normal working hours between 07:00am and 04:00pm
• Event shifts – 06:00pm to 01:00am
• Evenings, weekdays and weekends as required

• Contract auditing – carry out quality audits as per schedule and company policy
• Client contact – meet with clients as scheduled
• Assist with payroll when needed
• Check staff uniforms
• Assist the operations manager with induction training for all new starts and staff moving sites
• Ensure staff perform their roles to the best of their abilities, checking each area on an ad‑hoc basis
• Ensure all areas are fully stocked (e.g., toilet roll, soap dispensers)
• Maintain own store area clean, tidy, colour‑coded and up to spec
• Fully flexible approach required
• Holiday cover – assist the area supervisor with approving or rejecting requests and cover sickness absences
• Stock ordering
• Comply with all health, safety & hygiene standards
• Comply with all HACCP regulations as necessary
• Full compliance with COSHH and colour coding
• Ensure all clothing, footwear and personal hygiene meet company standards at all times
• Daily staff management

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• NVQ/SVQ Level One in Cleaning Building Interiors is an advantage but not essential
• Previous work experience in customer service employment
• Current BICS qualifications
• Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to understand safety and work instructions and communicate with customers on a day‑to‑day basis
