Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a Multi‑skilled Maintenance Technician with an electrical bias to join CHEP – the global leader in pallet, crate, and container pooling. You’ll maintain and improve manufacturing equipment using a multi‑skilled approach, working to high safety and reliability standards in a fast‑paced, automated environment.
Responsibilities- Proactively work as part of a multi‑skilled team to maintain all manufacturing assets.
- Actively complete root cause analysis, returning equipment in a safe and timely manner and driving efficiency, quality and reliability improvements.
- Perform proactive and reactive maintenance, ensuring health and safety procedures are always followed.
- Continuously seek ways to improve all processes and procedures relating to maintenance of equipment.
- Support site reliability agenda by identifying failure modes and trends, completing root cause analysis processes and driving agreed actions.
- Provide support to site project and change initiatives as appropriate.
- Ensure all tasks are risk‑assessed through site specific or dynamic risk assessments.
- Report all maintenance tasks on the CMMS system as required and to the correct standard.
- Involve in continuous improvement projects.
- Issue work permits and supervise contractors.
- Electrical bias is essential – must hold relevant electrical qualifications.
- Multi‑skilled across electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Experience in fast‑paced, safety‑driven environments.
- Strong fault‑finding skills (electrical, mechanical, PLC).
- Ability to read engineering drawings and operate workshop tools.
- Experience and/or certifications in automation, PLCs, and robotics highly desirable.
- Safety‑conscious, adaptable, and a team player.
