The Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN), owned and operated by the Gallatin Airport Authority, is seeking a motivated individual for a full-time Custodian
position.

Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) is a small hub airport in beautiful southwest Montana located 8 miles northwest of the city of Bozeman and 50 miles north of Big Sky. The Custodian position performs routine and general custodial duties in order to maintain the airport terminal, terminal grounds, and other Authority-owned buildings in clean and orderly condition. The airport operates 24/7, 365 days per year and schedules may vary based on business needs. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays; however, the current available shift is:

• Saturday
  - Tuesday  hours

• Starting pay rate of $27.00 per hour depending on experience.

• Maintains airport terminal, terminal grounds, and other Authority-owned buildings in clean and orderly condition.
• Uses a variety of custodial cleaning tools, equipment, chemicals, and solutions.
• Cleans, disinfects and deodorizes restrooms.
• Cleans floors and carpets using light and heavy equipment including mops; brooms; dust pans; riding, backpack and push vacuums; carpet extractors; floor scrubbers; and buffing machines.
• Cleans windows, doors, furniture, fixtures, walls, and equipment.
• Removes and disposes of trash, replaces liners, and washes and disinfects trash cans as needed.
• Keeps sidewalks and parking areas clean of debris.
• Performs light groundskeeping, including snow removal as assigned, using shovels and other snow removal equipment.
• Maintains and pushes cleaning cart throughout terminal facility.
• Assists other Authority personnel and provides instruction to others as needed.
• Provides customer service to passengers, visitors and tenants by answering questions and directing them to resources via clear and effective communication.
• Prepares and maintains various records related to custodial activities as required on manual forms or through digital means.
• Maintains compliance with safety, security and environmental regulations and procedures.
• Ensures Terminal Services and Appearance Management is kept apprised of significant events that occur during the shift.
• Communicates effectively and exchanges information in a professional and positive manner with employees, tenants, concessionaires, vendors, contractors, and the public.
• Participates in the Authority’s Safety Management System.
• Operates and drives light and heavy equipment and Authority-owned vehicles landside, in non-movement area, and under escort in movement area (as needed).
• Uses effective and standard radio communications to communicate with other personnel.
• Completes required trainings.
• Practices and adheres to the Authority’s policies and procedures and federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements.
• Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

• High School Graduate/Equivalent
• 18 years or older
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Able to follow instructions, work safely, and independently
• Must meet physical requirements necessary to perform essential functions of the position (with or without a reasonable accommodation)
• Must pass a 10-year pre-employment Criminal History Background Check (CHRC) necessary to obtain federally mandated security clearances, badging, and access to the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport and retain access authority and an active badge with the necessary credentials to perform the essential responsibilities of position
