Primary Function: To clean Bellevue University buildings and facilities to ensure areas are presentable and safe for students, faculty, and staff.
Essential Functions:
- Sweeps and mops floors.
- Cleans sinks, toilets, urinals and all dispensers using appropriate cleaning solutions
- Spot-cleans walls, doors and partitions.
- Empties trashcans and sanitary napkin receptacles.
- Refills paper towel, toilet paper, soap and sanitary napkin dispensers
Cleans Entrance ways and Hallways
- Sweeps and vacuums floors. (including edging and baseboards)
- Washes windows using cleaning solutions.
Cleans offices
- Vacuums floors (edging and under desks)
- Dusts hard surfaces (Other than desks and bookcases unless asked)
- Spot-cleans walls
Cleans Classrooms, Conference Rooms, Game Room and Quiet Lounge, Locker Rooms, Etc.
- Sprays showers with disinfect chemicals.
- Wipes off tables and chairs.
- Picks-up trash and empty trashcans.
- Spot cleans walls
- Cleans chalk/white boards. Replaces markers/chalk and erasers.
Marginal Functions:
- Shovels and salts walkways during the winter months to ensure areas clear and safe.
- Sets-up rooms/cleans up after University and Community events.
- Washes accessible interior and exterior windows, clean blinds and ledges.
- Shampoos/extracts carpets
- Cleans out light fixtures.
- Cleans outside tables and benches.
- Other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent. - Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of safe handling procedures for various chemicals and cleaning agents.
- Ability to read and understand written work orders.
- Must have excellent time management skills, and be detail oriented and dependable.
