Job Description
Salary: $46,000 - max is negotiable based on experience
Davis Unlimited Information Technologies, Inc (DUIT) is a woman-owned, minority-owned small business headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. We are looking for hardware technicians with 0 or more years of experience. Positions are located throughout Maryland, including Howard County.
Job Duties- Conduct site surveys; assess and document current site configuration and user requirements.
- Analyze existing requirements and prepare specifications for hardware acquisitions.
- Develop hardware installation schedules.
- Prepare drawings documenting configuration changes at each site.
- Prepare site installation documentation.
- Configure computers, communications devices and peripheral equipment.
- Train site personnel in proper use of hardware.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and test computer workstations, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment.
- Install and configure computer workstations, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment and associated cabling.
- Maintain government and/or vendor-manufactured fiber optic/Ethernet cables & telephone systems.
- Lift up to 50 pounds; drive a company vehicle as necessary. Physical demands include significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and periodic work in tight areas.
- Available to work an 8‑hour shift between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., as determined by management.
- Minimum education and experience:
High school/GED and 0‑2 years of experience; AA or BS in a technical field acceptable as substitute for experience. - 8570 Certification.
