Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and hardworking Floor Technician to join our Flagship team. The position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of client facility floors, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment.

- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, and waxing.
- Operate and maintain specialized floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, extractors, and burnishers.
- Respond promptly to spills and other floor-related maintenance needs to ensure safety and prevent accidents.
- Apply appropriate floor finishes and treatments according to established procedures.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing additional care or repairs.
- Dispose of waste materials and follow proper cleaning protocols.
- Assist with carpet cleaning, spot treatments, and stain removal as necessary.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and other objects.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security policies.
- Work collaboratively with custodial and maintenance teams to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 6 or more months experience as a floor technician or in janitorial services is required.
- Knowledge of floor care equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Completion of significant safety training is required.
The employee is occasionally required to perform repetitive movements such as standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, talking or hearing. Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time and walk long distances is essential. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 40 pounds of office and facilities equipment (cleaning products, tools and ladders) and trash, and safely use the equipment provided.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
