As our temporary custodian, you will perform custodial assignments necessary to maintain the cleanliness and care of the facilities including academic, residential, and athletic.
A basic list of responsibilities include:
- Emptying trash
- Dusting
- Vacuuming
- Checking fixtures and making note of damage
- Interim floor and carpet care
- Spot cleaning of carpets
- Polishing
- Cleaning door glass
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Operating cleaning equipment
- Cleaning lockers and benches
- Setting up and removing furniture
- Assisting as required on snow removal
- Mixing chemicals for cleaning
- Disinfecting, cleaning and sanitizing
- Stripping, cleaning, buffing and applying finish to floors
High school graduate or equivalent
Effectively read, write and follow oral and/or written instructions as provided by management
Effective communication skills
Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Experience in housekeeping, janitorial, general or building maintenance or custodial work in an educational environment
Proven ability to work independently and in groups
$18.44/hour
This position is covered by a Washington Federation of State Employees bargaining union.
