$500 SIGN-ON BONUS:
New employees will receive a $500 bonus after completing their six-month introductory phase.

Job Summary

Supervise and support a crew of individuals with disabilities to perform custodial services at the U.S. Border Crossings and Department of Homeland Security. Understand the needs of our custodial contracts, perform direct labor to meet those expectations, and supervise and support the crew through job coaching crew members to achieve their full potential. Assess individual crew member needs, provide training, and assist with skills-building.

Perform periodic cleaning tasks such as floor care, pressure washing, windows, and additional tasks. Keep careful records of activities and progress.

Please Note

This position requires candidates to complete a federal background clearance and have a good credit history and responsible driving record. This is a working supervisor position, meaning both direct labor and supervision are included in the job requirements. Hours of indirect service will fluctuate week to week depending on current needs.

    -9:00 AM
  • Sunday - 1:00 AM-9:00 AM
  • Monday - 4:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age
  • U.S. citizenship
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Effectively communicates and understands, reads, and writes in English
  • Passing federal background clearance and DSHS background check
  • Willing to submit to for-cause drug testing
  • Belief that all people can and should work
  • Able and willing to fulfill non-standard work hours to meet immediate, short-term coaching needs
  • Able to work with diverse populations in varied settings
  • Treats all people we serve with respect and relates in a warm, caring manner
  • Able to work well with people and demonstrate leadership qualities
  • Able to make quick and independent decisions
  • Strong skills in problem-solving, prioritization, and time-management

Additional Requirements
  • Valid Washington State driver’s license, reliable transportation (upon hire), clean driving record, and good credit history
  • U.S. bank account for direct deposit (upon hire)
  • Orientation & Safety Training and Policy & Procedures Training (first day of employment)
  • First Aid/CPR/AED Certification (within 30 days of hire, prior to working unsupervised)
  • Bloodborne Pathogens Training (within 30 days of employment)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with people with disabilities in an employment setting
  • Commercial custodial experience, including floor care
Responsibilities
  • Supervise custodial projects and ensure completion of services as outlined in the statement of work.
  • Maintain quality levels consistent with the standards of the custodial contracts.
  • Coordinate the schedule and delegation of tasks for crew members.
  • Drive company vehicles from various sites and safely transport people home following their scheduled shifts.
  • Complete activity logs for each individual on the crew based on their personal vocational goals.
  • Complete timesheets with crew members, ensure time tracking is accurate and on time.
  • Communicate with the Director of Commercial Operations on a regular basis to ensure that contracts are running efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain precise written documentation of all support provided to those we serve.
  • Ensure that all paperwork is completed thoroughly and submitted in a timely fashion.
  • Provide assessments of potential applicants’ vocational skills and work readiness for Cascade Connections custodial crews.
  • Provide unique job coaching support to each individual crew member according to their employment service plan’s goals.
