Observe mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble;
Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts;
Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements;
Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wire and cables;
Perform plant startup tasks and energize all equipment to ensure operation
