Summary
:
To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible adults.

Responsibilities

Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.

Plan a study program that as much as possible meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.

Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.

Prepare for classes assigned and provide written evidence of preparation upon request from the immediate supervisor.

Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.

Guide the learning process toward achieving curriculum goals by setting clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, ensuring alignment with overall educational goals, and effectively communicating these objectives to students.

Qualifications

Illinois Professional Educator License with the appropriate endorsement(s).
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Evaluation

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions set forth in the Bellwood Education Association Collective Bargaining Agreement and Board of Education.
