A contract opportunity is available for talented Special Education Teachers with expertise across grade levels early education through middle school. The position offers a fulfilling, 32.5-hour work week in a vibrant K-8 setting, with both resource and self-contained instructional roles open, allowing skilled educators to truly shine.
KeyQualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (appropriate for K-8 grades)
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Experience adapting curriculum and fostering inclusive classroom environments
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, parents, and staff
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for working with diverse learners
- Ability to indicate specific qualifications and preferred grade level assignments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that support student growth
- Adapt lessons and instructional strategies to meet each students needs
- Work closely with general education teachers and other support staff to ensure student success
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
- Foster a supportive, positive environment that encourages student engagement and self-advocacy
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
