Overview
Position:
Inspector – One-Way Clutch Assemblies. Responsible for inspecting a variety of one-way clutch assemblies and components to ensure conformance with company standards, military standards, and customer specifications. Package and prepare units for shipment. Work from prints, purchase orders, and procedural documents.
- Plan inspection methods and procedures and perform final inspections on one-way clutch assemblies, cage, ribbon, drag strips, and static bands.
- Check and verify parts against accompanying paperwork to determine inspection methods and tool needs.
- Set up inspection tools and fixtures and perform required measurements to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Calibrate gauges at set intervals and complete required inspection and calibration forms, discrepant material reports, log sheets, and manufacturing routing sheets.
- Verify conformance certifications meet prescribed specifications and manage discrepant material according to aircraft procedures.
- Input necessary data into mainframe and personal computers; clean and degrease components prior to inspection as needed.
- Package completed units for shipment in accordance with customer specifications, prepare shipping documentation, apply code labels, and stamp as required.
- Interact with Customer Source Inspector to obtain shipping authorization.
- Utilize precision inspection tools and instruments (e.g., micrometers, hardness tester, optical comparator, gage blocks, gage fixtures, calibration standards) and related equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and follow all safety rules.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to read and write English and understand technical documentation.
- Experience planning and performing inspections from prints, purchase orders, work sheets, and procedures.
- Familiarity with a variety of precision inspection tools and instruments and the ability to calibrate gauges and document results.
- Proficiency with data entry into mainframe/P.C. systems and ability to maintain manufacturing records.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to specifications and safety guidelines.

Compensation: $18.20 - $26.67 per hour (rate applicable to eligible candidates).
