Description

The Maintenance Worker responds to the maintenance and repair issues and the daily cleaning of all assigned facilities along with the upkeep and repairs to equipment and appliances.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and supplies as assigned.
  • Landscape maintenance & snow remediation
  • Assist in maintaining inventory and recommending purchase of suitable supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs in assigned buildings.
  • Maintain a consistent schedule with custodial/janitorial duties as assigned.
  • Maintain storage areas as directed.
  • Participate in required training on State Child Care Licensing and OSHA requirements for child care centers and facilities.
  • Maintain Material Data Safety sheets.
  • Work independently, manage time, prioritizing tasks.
  • Event setup/breakdown.
  • Strict adherence to RWCFS policies and procedures.
Compensation

$22.56-$23.14 an hour depending on experience, Part Time/Full Year, 20-25 hours per week.

Requirements Qualification Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Must meet Wisconsin Administrative code DCF 251 Licensing Rules for Group Daycare Centers requirements for health report and criminal background check.
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle liability insurance as required by state law.
  • Dependable transportation (duties will require traveling to different site locations).
  • Skilled in general maintenance tasks such as painting, basic carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, assembly.
  • Prior training and work experience in facility maintenance/janitorial duties.
  • Must be conscientious and capable of working alone with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work a flex schedule with some required "call in" and weekend work hours.
  • Ability to maintain basic first Aid and CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Desirable to have knowledge of and successful experience with non-profit, human services, or preschool programming.
  • Floor care experience such as cleaning, polishing, protective treatments.

  • Regular use of hands to finger, handle, and touch; frequent standing, sitting, walking; reaching above shoulders; climbing, balance, stooping; kneeling, crouching, crawling.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds; regular lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment.

Seeing details at various distances, depth perception, resilience to blue light from screens and technology.
