Public Works Maintenance Tech - Isanti

Overview

This full-time, non-supervisory position performs operation and routine skilled maintenance work for buildings and grounds, water, wastewater, and street maintenance functions of the city, as well as other city grounds and public works areas including city parks, streets, buildings, grounds, vehicles, equipment, and the water and sewer systems. The position requires a self-starter with a positive attitude, willingness to learn a wide variety of tasks, and the ability to work well in a team/group setting.

The position is eligible for the full city benefits package.

• Perform operation and routine maintenance tasks for city facilities and infrastructure including water, wastewater, streets, parks, and public works areas.
• Maintain city grounds, buildings, vehicles, and equipment in good working order.
• Assist with maintenance of water and sewer systems as part of daily operations.
• Work as part of a team to complete assigned tasks and respond to routine maintenance needs.

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience with plowing snow using a plow truck and/or skid steer.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance methods and procedures on light and/or heavy-duty equipment.
• Three (3) years of experience performing similar essential functions of the position.
