Help create experiences that connect people across languages and cultures.

At Concordia Language Villages, a program of Concordia College, our work is about more than language learning. Through immersive experiences, we help people develop the language skills, cultural understanding, and perspectives they need to communicate and connect across cultures.

Our facilities team plays an important role in making those experiences possible. By creating clean, safe, and welcoming spaces, you'll help ensure that Villagers, participants, staff, and guests have an environment where they can learn, connect, and thrive.

If you take pride in a job well done, enjoy hands‑on work, and want your work to contribute to a meaningful mission, we'd love to have you on our team.

About the Role:

As a housekeeper, you'll help prepare and maintain the facilities at Concordia Language Villages in Bemidji, Minnesota. You'll clean and care for residences, bathrooms, dining halls, offices, and activity spaces; handle laundry and linens; and help keep our buildings and grounds ready for the people who use them.

This is an active, hands‑on role with a mix of independent work and teamwork. You'll have regular assigned responsibilities while also pitching in on projects and other needs across the site.

What You'll Do:
  • Clean and maintain assigned facilities, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing bathrooms and showers, cleaning furnishings and living spaces, emptying trash, and restocking supplies.
  • Prepare residential spaces for participants and guests by cleaning and sanitizing beds and mattresses and preparing rooms for upcoming occupancy.
  • Manage linens and laundry by collecting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens throughout the site.
  • Help maintain safe and welcoming facilities and grounds by reporting maintenance needs, removing snow and ice from entrances and exits, and picking up exterior trash and litter.
  • Support site operations and special projects by assisting with event setup and teardown and participating in team projects and other assigned work.
  • Contribute to a positive experience at Concordia Language Villages by providing responsive service, communicating effectively with coworkers and supervisors, and supporting a safe and welcoming environment.
  • You'll Thrive Here If You:
    • Take pride in keeping spaces clean, organized, and ready for others.
    • Enjoy active, hands‑on work and seeing the results of what you accomplish each day.
    • Are dependable and comfortable working independently without constant supervision.
    • Like being part of a team and are willing to pitch in when needs or priorities change.
    • Pay attention to details and notice when something needs cleaning, restocking, or repair.
