Description

Nosler Inc. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Physical Plant Technician to maintain facilities, equipment, and infrastructure that support precision manufacturing. This role requires proficiency in fabrication, welding, mechanical systems, and construction.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in fabrication and welding.
  • Mechanical or construction background essential.
  • LME electrical license preferred.
  • Mathematical proficiency: probability, statistics, geometry, trigonometry.
  • Application of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Basic computer skills: spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Keyboard and mouse proficiency.

Physical Demands

Requires mobility and lifting of 35 to 75 pounds; occasional lifting of 35 to 45 pounds. Bending, stooping, squatting, standing on concrete floors, climbing ladders, retrieving materials. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, vibrations, moderate noise.

Employees must maintain a neat and clean appearance.

Application Process

Initial 60‑day Introductory Trainee period. Successful candidates advance to Regular Employee and receive benefits. Drug screen and criminal background check required.

Schedule

1st shift, 6:00 am–2:30 pm, Monday‑Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Physical Plant Technician maintains and repairs facility systems including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural equipment. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, complex repairs, facility renovations, equipment moves, and fabrication work, all performed safely and in compliance with ISO quality standards.

  • Work across electrical, electronic, mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, construction, and HVAC systems.
  • Move equipment, from desks to 20,000‑lb presses as directed.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools, test equipment, gauges, and precision measuring devices.
  • Perform routine and complex maintenance on building structures and equipment.
  • Restore and renovate facilities, build partitions, shelving, and furniture based on plans.
  • Follow directions and complete tasks within deadlines.
  • Support quality improvement efforts by adhering to ISO standards and participating in continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as directed by management.

  • 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
