Yard Technician - Redmond

Yard Technician – Redmond, OR

REIC Rentals is looking for someone with experience operating construction or farm equipment, a background in basic mechanics, and a passion for safety, quality, and customer service.

As a Yard Technician, you will:

• Meticulously wash and detail rental equipment before delivery.
• Inspect small equipment for quality.
• Manage the hookup and receiving of trailers or smaller rented items.
• Enhance the overall visual appeal of the yard.

A Typical Day May Include:

• Prepping the yard for opening and closing of business.
• Loading and unloading equipment and communicating rental details with the Rental Coordinator.
• Washing and repairing returned equipment to ensure it is rent‑ready.
• Assisting with the appearance, organization, and arrangement of equipment in the yard.

This is a full‑time position. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with Saturdays as needed.

• A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass forklift, AWP, and propane training tests.
• A strong focus on safety.

• Ability to take instruction and understand goals and processes.
• Ability to work fluctuating schedules, including Saturdays.
• Ability to complete other duties as assigned.
• Ability to comprehend job‑related duties in both verbal and written formats.
• Comfortable working with limited supervision at times.
• Medical card preferred.
• Mechanical background preferred.

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and reach throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds multiple times per shift.

• Standing: 50%
• Walking: 45%
• Sitting: 5%
