This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of multiple facilities. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or as necessary.

Essential Functions
  • Sets up and configures various low voltage systems (e.g., security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video systems, network cabling). Runs, terminates, and labels cables according to project requirements and industry standards. Performs regular maintenance checks to ensure system functionality and reliability.
  • Identifies and resolves issues in low voltage systems promptly to minimize downtime. Fixes any faults or damages, ensuring systems are restored to optimal working condition.
  • Provides technical support and training to end users on operation and maintenance of low voltage systems.
  • Addresses customer inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently. Ensures all installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and follows all safety guidelines.
  • Maintains accurate and detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs; generates reports on system performance, issues resolved, and maintenance activities.
  • Evaluates existing systems to determine if upgrades or enhancements are needed and performs upgrades to improve performance or comply with new standards.
  • Works closely with technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful project completion; communicates effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Stays abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices; leads and participates in teams by sharing resources and coordinating work assignments; provides advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and quality are achieved.
  • Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs; analyzes and applies information from multiple sources; monitors progress and results; identifies and addresses improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethics standards; assists management with correcting ethical and compliance issues.
Physical Activities

Communicates effectively in person or by telecommunications equipment; enters and locates information on electronic device; grasps, turns, and manipulates objects of varying size and weight; moves up and down a ladder and stairs; lifts, carries, and places merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds; observes associate or customer behavior; reaches overhead and below the knees; safely operates a motor vehicle and large power equipment;

sits and stands for long periods; visually inspects equipment; creates documents and reports; presents information to groups; visually verifies and reads small print.

Travel

Domestic travel to multiple facilities or work-sites requiring consecutive overnight stays; travel does not typically require extended duration (>7 days) except for management training or emergencies.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Prior work experience in a role requiring knowledge of local electrical codes and standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BICSI Installer Certification.
  • CompTIA certifications for networking (e.g., Network+).
  • Manufacturer‑specific certifications (e.g., Honeywell, Axis, Bosch).
  • NICET 1 & 2 Fire Alarm certification.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification/training.
  • Technical training or certification in low voltage systems.
