Our Bike Shop + Experience Center in Bentonville serves as a premier community hub where riders of all stages can advance their cycling journey. We are dedicated to supporting a comprehensive range of disciplines—servicing everything from commuter setups, E-bikes, gravel, and mountain bikes, alongside our youth developmental fleets.

The RoleWe’re looking for a Service Manager / Lead Bike Mechanic to bring new builds to life, keep diverse customer fleets rolling, mentor our technical team, and deliver top-notch service experiences.
In this role, you will lead our service operations across a wide range of bicycle types. You are the technical anchor of the shop, balancing high-quality wrenching with clear, ego-free customer communication.

Key Responsibilities Wrenching & Service Leadership- Serve as the primary mechanic and quality assurance lead for all incoming service work
- Build a wide range of new bikes for retail sales, maintain our demo fleet, and complete custom service orders
- Maintain a clean, organized, and highly efficient service department and workbench area
- Proactively order and manage service-related supplies, parts, and component back stock
- Manage service scheduling, track work orders, and communicate transparently with customers to minimize wait times
- Support the retail floor—helping riders find the right bikes, parts, and accessories for their specific needs
- Translate complex technical knowledge into friendly, approachable guidance for customers and staff
- Train junior mechanics and retail staff on advanced technical knowledge and bike basics
- Occasionally create and teach bike maintenance courses for community riders and local families
- 3+ years of professional bicycle mechanic experience (Required)
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a deep understanding of modern bike standards and components
- Detail-oriented, efficient, and customer-service minded
- Must be able to ride a bike and safely lift up to 35 lbs
- Bonus Points: Regional cycling community connections, B2B/B2C retail sales experience, or community programming background
- $45,000 – $55,000 a year with room to grow

- Fewer than 3 years of professional bike shop mechanical experience
- Gatekeeping attitude or discomfort interacting directly with a diverse customer base (including adult newcomers and families)
- Poor organization, messy workbench habits, or inability to track inventory effectively
- Inability to make independent decisions or adapt quickly when the shop gets busy
