The Senior Technician, General Facilities Maintenance, is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facility equipment and fixtures. This role involves diagnosing issues, overseeing junior associates, managing work orders, and coordinating with contractors while adhering to regulatory standards. About the team:
The campus operations plumbing team maintains both new and existing corporate real estate facilities, ensuring optimal functionality and safety. This team performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections to uphold facility standards. They collaborate closely with contractors and suppliers to manage parts and equipment efficiently. Adhering to regulatory guidelines, the team supports operational excellence by addressing maintenance needs promptly and effectively.

What you'll do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities, equipment, and fixtures following established schedules and guidelines.
- Inspect, clean, and repair facilities equipment, documenting wear and recommending repairs or replacements to prevent future issues.
- Conduct major and minor repairs using multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, and oversee junior associates on assigned projects.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair calls, diagnose issues using blueprints and manuals, and ensure compliance with safety and code requirements.
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor performance while maintaining accurate records and budget information.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in preventive and predictive maintenance for facility equipment and systems.
- Strong skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and commitment to safety compliance.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and technical documentation to resolve maintenance issues.
- Experience managing maintenance schedules, work orders, parts inventory, and contractor coordination.
- Effective leadership skills to oversee junior associates and provide onsite training.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to document activities and support budget management.
