Job Description
Operations Crew members are responsible for assisting the Operations Team by completing various unit-level and central office improvement projects as assigned by the Operations Assistant. They will perform improvement projects including, but not limited to, deep cleaning, painting, landscaping projects, and organizational projects at the unit-level and central office. They will assist with preparing units for seismic retrofit and capital improvement projects and be on call to assist with projects as they arise.
They must attend all required training as scheduled by the Operations Assistant.
You must be a current BSC member and meet student eligibility guidelines to hold this position. You must be willing to complete a diverse array of cleaning and improvement projects. You must be reliable, punctual, and available to work a regular, consistent schedule of 10 hours per week during normal business hours (Mon – Fri, 8 am – 6 pm). You must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
You cannot be on the Board of Directors and hold a central-level position. You must be a current BSC member and meet student eligibility guidelines to hold this position.
Experience cleaning in commercial facilities or in the co-op, ability and willingness to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly, ability and willingness to move heavy furniture repeatedly, and/or cleaning and maintenance skills.
Hours/CreditThis is an 10-hour per week position, compensated with a rent credit at workshift rate for 5 hours per week and fulfilling your five hours per week workshift requirement. Apartment dwellers and summer residents will receive an additional rent credit stipend for the five workshift hours, as this job does not replace the workshift requirement in these instances. If for whatever reason this job begins mid-semester, the stipend will be prorated.
