PurposeThis person is responsible for general upkeep of the grounds, maintenance work, and operation of motorized equipment as instructed by the Director of Operations or in conjunction with staff appointed representative.
Essential Job Functions- Attend work in a regular, reliable and punctual manner.
- Works in conjunction with assigned staff member or supervisor to maintain the grounds and buildings of the St. Joseph School District. Work is performed under a variety of conditions, such as extreme heat.
- Operates power equipment as required for the specific task.
- Safeguards the School District property, buildings, grounds, and equipment from damage in the performance of these duties.
- Works in conjunction with assigned staff member, supervisor, or other maintenance staff performing necessary grounds projects such as mowing, seeding, and application of chemicals.
- Other duties as directed by the Director of Maintenance & Operations or his appointed representative.
- Must maintain appropriate grooming and appearance to work in a school setting.
- Cell phone use is limited to essential conversation only.
- Tobacco of any form is prohibited at all times.
- Other assigned duties.
