Garage Mechanic - Qualified

Individual must have four and one-half years of experience as a fully qualified garage mechanic. Education and training equivalent to graduation from high school or vocational school supplemented by a one-year trade school course is required. Individual must be qualified to hold a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Working hours for 2nd shift positions are Monday - Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.

• Perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of automotive and heavy‑duty equipment and associated components.
• Diagnose operating deficiencies of automotive and hydraulic equipment.
• Carry out transmission work and other designated tasks.
• Use hand and power tools safely while following the Company Safety Manual.
• Respond to emergency restoration assignments as required.

• Four and one-half years of experience as a fully qualified garage mechanic.
• High school or vocational school graduation with a one‑year trade school course.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Working knowledge of internal combustion engines and hydraulic assemblies.
• Ability to diagnose operating deficiencies.
• Availability to work the second shift:
  Monday‑Friday, 3:30PM‑12:00AM.

The salary range for this position starts at $51.20 and progresses in accordance with the union contract. Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program.

Must be available for emergency restoration assignments as required. Must be available to travel between MA, CT, and NH as necessary.
